Bosulu Homestay Mentawai has traditional bungalows set directly on a beautiful beach at Malakopa Island. White sand, palm trees, turquoise water, coral reef, and a relaxed island setting create a memorable base for a surf-focused stay.
The camp hosts up to 10 guests in a traditional, budget-friendly setup with dorm bunk beds, fans, mosquito nets, power points, western toilets, and bucket-bath showers. Meals are prepared at camp, and the shared lounge is an easy place to relax and spend time with local visitors.
Front Roxy can be reached on foot from camp. Thunder Left, Thunder Right, and Macaronis are accessed by boat, with island-to-island transport arranged according to conditions and availability.

Important Notes
- •All-inclusive packages can be arranged for up to 4 guests, subject to availability and fast-ferry schedules. The camp itself can accommodate up to 10 guests.
- •Fast Ferry departures from Padang are scheduled for Fridays, with return travel on the same scheduled day.
- •Sikakap-to-Malakopa charter boats carry up to 4 guests with luggage. Heavy or bulky luggage may require an additional boat; groups of 6 or more require a second boat.
- •Island-to-island boat rental is available for neighboring breaks. Boats carry up to 5 guests with surfboards, and the cost may be shared when other surfers join.
- •Extra camp days can be added subject to availability. Ask us for the current rate.
- •Transport is scheduled for the reserved arrival and departure dates. Changes requiring an additional boat or taxi are paid by guests.
- •To confirm a reservation, a 20% deposit is required. The remaining 80% is due before departure to the Mentawai Islands. The deposit is non-refundable for cancellations or changes after a confirmed booking.
Mentawai Surfer Tax
Commencing August 1, 2016, the Mentawai Regional Government imposed a Surfer's Levy in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 2 Year 2015: 2,000,000 IDR for up to 15 days. Payment is made directly at Nagari Bank (Deposit Slip Model A). Purchase surfing tickets and bracelets at the Tourism Information Center (TIC), Jln Padang Azizi No. 121 Andalas, Padang, or at the Tourism Office in Tuapejat.
