Welcome to Surf Lodge Katiet! We sell all-inclusive packages that cover all logistics — transportation, overnight stays in Padang, and all additional services — so our guests have no hassles or inconveniences during their journey to us.
Located on Katiet island, home to some of the world's most coveted waves, our lodge is your ideal base for a surf trip in the Mentawais. World-class breaks including Bintangs, Lance's Right (HT's), and Lance's Left are all reachable by a relatively short walk from our doors.
Package itineraries and lengths of stay are based on the ferry schedule. The ferry runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing Padang in the early morning and returning from the Mentawais in the late afternoon of the same days. Guests must be in Padang the night before departure.
All-inclusive packages cover 2 nights at a Padang homestay plus your full stay at the lodge, with 3 meals per day, unlimited mineral water, tea and coffee, round-trip fast ferry tickets, and round-trip speed boat or car transport from Tua Pejat harbor to the camp.

Important Notes
- •Located on Katiet island (Sipora), Mentawai — home to world-class breaks Bintangs, Lance's Right (HT's), and Lance's Left.
- •The Fast Ferry departs from Padang on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, arriving at Tua Pejat harbor. Return ferries depart Mentawais on the same days in the late afternoon.
- •You must be in Padang the night before your ferry departure — 2 Padang nights are included in all packages.
- •Mentawai Surfer's Tax: 2,000,000 IDR (up to 15 days) — paid separately at Nagari Bank or the Tourism Information Center in Padang.
- •Surfboard ferry surcharge: small bag (1–15 kg) = 230,000 IDR ($17 USD); medium (15–25 kg) = 460,000 IDR ($33 USD); large (>25 kg) = 690,000 IDR ($49 USD).
- •Extra days can always be added to your package with an additional payment per night.
- •To hold a reservation, pay 20% deposit in advance (via bank transfer or Western Union). Final payment (80%) must be made before departure. The 20% deposit is non-refundable on cancellation.
Mentawai Surfer Tax
Commencing August 1, 2016, the Mentawai Regional Government imposed a Surfer's Levy in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 2 Year 2015: 2,000,000 IDR for up to 15 days. Payment is made directly at Nagari Bank (Deposit Slip Model A). Purchase surfing tickets and bracelets at the Tourism Information Center (TIC), Jln Padang Azizi No. 121 Andalas, Padang, or at the Tourism Office in Tuapejat.
