Sabbit Mentawai Surfcamp is a rustic surf lodging option built around a traditional Mentawai uma house. The camp sits less than fifteen meters from a white-sand beach with crystal-clear water, surrounded by palms and close to the famous E-Bay surf spot.
Guests stay in a wooden and palm-leaf structure designed in local Mentawai style. The vibe is simple, social, and surf-focused rather than private luxury. From the beach, guests can paddle to E-Bay or snorkel along the coral reef when the ocean is calm.
The camp has a deliberately small capacity. It offers two rooms for four people, two rooms with double beds for couples, and one room with two single beds. Rooms include mosquito nets, fans, and European-style 220V plugs. Bathrooms are placed in two separate bungalows behind the main house.
The surf program uses three local speedboats: two boats for eight people and one boat for four people. The boats are built by local craftsmen and operated by experienced Mentawai captains, making the setup practical for daily surf runs to nearby breaks.
Meals are included and combine Indonesian and Spanish cooking. The package includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner, plus unlimited water, coffee, and tea. Extras such as Wi-Fi, soft drinks, beer, massage, and photo packages are available at additional cost.

Mentawai Surfer Tax
Commencing August 1, 2016, the Mentawai Regional Government imposed a Surfer's Levy in accordance with Regional Regulation No. 2 Year 2015: 2,000,000 IDR for up to 15 days. Payment is made directly at Nagari Bank (Deposit Slip Model A). Purchase surfing tickets and bracelets at the Tourism Information Center (TIC), Jln Padang Azizi No. 121 Andalas, Padang, or at the Tourism Office in Tuapejat.
